INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE MY STATIONERY

( I use WINZIP 8.0 to zip these files)

NOTE: My Stationery is made for OE 5.0 to 5.50. I have tested it in OE 6 and some of the scripting does NOT work, I don't know why as of yet, so I only recomend using my stationery in the two versions I stated in the first sentence. If you are attempting to try using Version 6 please be sure your security settings are set to INTERNET ZONE. Some say this corrects the problem for them.

*WARNING*- * it has come to my attention by a few visitors that a couple of downloading programs were preventing them from downloading my stationery...If you are asked for user name & password or are being told there is a network error it may be conflicting with programs such as; Download Accelerator, and Netscape Smartload.... etc. The site that holds my zip files does NOT support these programs so You must DISABLE them, and then you should have no problems downloading stationery. *

There are a few of the stationery that do not show the background when viewing in your browser window, but it DOES work properly in your e-mails. If you do have a problem with the downloads, let me know which one it is and I will try to correct the problem OR send you the zip by e-mail.

* If your browser reports that these files are not available, it is actually because the server is busy and cannot handle your download at this time. The files are present on this server and your browser is providing you with a misleading error message. Try again at a less busy time of day.*

To install: click on the graphic for the STATIONERY you want to View..then download

When the Zip Box: comes up click OPEN FILE instead of save......(or you can just SAVE it in a folder to open for later ;-0)

This should open up a ZIP screen with the needed files in it

Then: click on EXTRACT

Type or Copy&Paste: this path to the stationery files.... C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery

Then: click on the EXTRACT button and all your files will go in the proper place...Your OE Stationery Folder

Please Note!:

*Often I use the same sound files and Graphic files for different stationery. If you are downloading a lot of my stationery you will definitely come across the same file while unzipping. If you are asked to copy over the same file ... click..Yes*

You can then: use the stationery by going to the LITTLE DOWN ARROW next to the NEW MAIL BUTTON

and choose SELECT STATIONERY.....

Find: the one you want to use...click on it..click OK

all the needed files will load into your mail Outlook Mail Program

Very Important: Be sure to start your letter EXACTLY where the word TEXT is...double click on it to HIGHLIGHT it...then start to type your letter. This is important so that you don't disturb the graphics that are place in specific places,or it will not work as designed. You may change the Color and the size of the text with the OE tool bar.

Now: while you are typing your letter, the stationery may look like there are files/pictures missing or out of place, but it will send correctly. Try sending one to yourself first to see how it will look to the receiver.

If you want to preview it before you send it, just go to VIEW... SOURCE EDIT.... and 3 tabs will appear at the bottom of your e-mail.

Click on PREVIEW and you will see it working, then go back to EDIT to type on it and send it.
